In this 90 minute workshop with Colleen Scallen, we will move, meditate, journal, and explore what being queer means using a yoga and body liberation lens. What does being queer mean to you, in theory, practice, body, mind? Take this time to celebrate, love, and sit with yourself in a community of others.

Colleen Scallen (she/they) has been practicing yoga on and off for over 10 years. Colleen's eating disorder and other mental health issues are what drove her to, away from, and back to yoga. This winding journey led them to get teacher trained and create places where people can practice yoga without a disordered, perfectionist, one-size-fits-all mindset. Colleen is a certified 200 hour vinyasa teacher through Zen Yoga Garage, Accessible Yoga certified through Accessible Yoga Training School, and soon-to-be Trauma Informed Certified through Room to Breathe Yoga. A dancer, mover, actor, and mental health advocate, Colleen brings an artistic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental lens to her classes. Colleen’s goal is to cultivate a brave yoga space that is trauma-informed, aligned with body liberation, and unapologetically anti diet-culture, queer positive, and recovery-oriented. Follow their yoga journey on Instagram (@catnapyoga) and their website.
